Following the interview, you should submit a transcript or recording along with a reflective essay (2 – 3 pages). Your essay should include basic information about the individual interviewed (how they identify, role in the organization, name of the organization, and why you selected this individual). The following prompts can guide your essay:
What motivated this individual to become involved in civic engagement?
How does this person see their role in contributing to the greater good of the community?
How does this person balance personal and collective needs in their work?
What did this experience teach you about civic engagement?
