nEED IT ASAP PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS AND ADD A REFERENCE. In the first article the premise is to what effect did the killing of Osama Bin Laden have on Al Qaeda and other Islamic extremist groups throughout the Middle East and Africa? The conclusion is that killing Osama Bin Laden was essentially ineffective, only creating a martyr and fueling the flame of Islamic extremism. An inference is warranted in this case because there should be evidence of the claims made about the ineffectiveness of Bin Laden’s death. This article utilizes inductive reasoning because the premise and conclusion don’t provide certainty only probability. In the second article the premise is that the killing of Osama Bin Laden was, contrary to the first article, very effective. Concluding that Osama Bin Laden’s charisma and style of leadership was essentially what enticed people to join and with him gone the number of people interested in joining the ranks of Al Qaeda diminished drastically. Additionally people have come to realize, especially after recent revolutions, that change can come out of peaceful protests and the need to commit terrorists acts is lacking. I think that this argument utilizes inductive reasoning as well because although it sounds good and is probably true, there is no certainty that the premise is actually totally true. The strongest argument in this article is that Osama Bin Laden was the main fund-raiser for the regime and was its idol-like figure modeling himself after the prophet Muhammad. RESPOND TO THIS Set A: “Dropping Bin Laden’s corpse in the sea does not end the terrorist threat, nor does it remove the ideological motivation of Al Qaeda’s supporters.” It states that the assassination of Osama Bin Laden took a toll on Al Qaeda mentally. They had to rely on the teachings and concepts that Osama Bin Laden have left behind to move forward with Al Qaeda. Even though Bin Laden is physically gone, his influences are still strong meaning members of Al Qaeda will still result to terrorism to promote religiously pure Islamic states. Set B: “Without him Al Qaeda will find short on cash and members.” It states that the assassination of Osama Bin Laden effected Al Qaeda financially. He was the mastermind with fund-raising and organizing financial contributors. Bin Laden was also responsible for new recruits. Money played its part in Al Qaeda power. Each articles stated their own way of how Osama Bin Laden’s death affected Al Qaeda and followers. But at the end of it all, they are terrorists and the way they view the world and believe how it should be will not change whether Osama Bin Laden was still alive or not.
