Discussion Question: Research a Chief Financial Officer or Chief Executive Officer you admire most. Describe their journey to their current position. What are their characteristics and what is their philosophy related to finance or business? What characteristics do you share with them? Reply 1. One of the CEO I admire most in the business world is the CEO for Apple Tim Cook who is one of best entrepreneurs globally. After having a 12 year career at the IBM Cook went on serving in executive role at Intelligent electronics plus Compaq. In year 1998, Cook came to Apple after decade of company after being the CEO of Apple.        Tim Cook is an American executive as well as an engineer having served as Apple CEO since 2011. He owns 3.3 million shares of Apple that have less than 1% stake. In total compensation, Cook was able to make $98,734,394 to $3 million as the salary, $12 million as the bonus, $82,347,835 as the stock plus $1,386,559 from the other compensation. He is ranked 1523 among the Forbes billionaires in the year 2022 (Gupta, 2022).       There are different characteristics Tim Cook has which include brilliance, determination, obsessive curiosity, team focus plus agitated idealism. From these characteristics, the ones which I share with Tim Cook is brilliance where am focused on ensuring there is success in what am doing. The other characteristic is determination since personally when working I want to ensure that the project is working upon success. Finally, is transparency, where Tim Cook was aware transparency is vital for sustained success (Clifford, 2016). Of the harsh criticism concerning Apple global personnel, he decided to open doors to public as well as allowing them see how the operation of Apple work. Through this its instilled confidence in company as well as set new standard for the industry for the manufacturers. Observing the transparency, brilliance plus determination ensures that am in line with what the company requires for its success. Tim has observed these characteristics which have resulted in the success of the company.
