Instructions for Part 4 – My Professionalism
Begin with your name, date, and class number at the top of the paper. You will write 2 paragraphs. Each paragraph must be 5 complete sentences. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar count! Remember to capitalize “I”. Scroll down to the end to view an example completed assignment.
Paragraph #1: My daily schedule.
For your final paper, you will write one paragraph (5 sentences) outlining your daily schedule or routine that demonstrates your ability to be self-directed as a real estate professional. What will your daily schedule look like once you are working in your real estate career? Talk about how you will plan activities and put them on your calendar. What types of activities will you do? What time will you arrive to the real estate office and leave the office? How many hours will you work each day/week? THIS IS YOUR FUTURE SCHEDULE AS A REAL ESTATE AGENT, NOT YOUR CURRENT SCHEDULE. Below is a sample schedule.
Paragraph #2: Professional associations.
In this paragraph, write 5 sentences with a list of the Professional Associations to which you currently belong, or will join in the future. Include citations to the organizations’ websites. For these outside sources (other than your own original work), you MUST cite them in your paragraph, and reference them at the end. Refer to the list of professional associations in the high desert area, as shown below.

Name: Ima Sample
- Date: April 4, 2024
As a real estate agent, I will work Monday through Saturday starting at 8:30 am. My mornings will consist of calling prospective leads, practicing scripts, and shadowing a seasoned agent during listing appointments. In the afternoons beginning at 1:30 pm, I will meet with buyers, view new houses listed in the MLS for my buyer clients, and post social media marketing messages. On Saturdays, I will hold open houses from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm and follow up with all buyer inquiries. In the evenings after my children go to sleep, I will watch training videos and research properties in the MLS for prospective clients.
- I will become a Realtor® by joining the High Desert Association of Realtors® (HDAOR), which automatically includes my membership at California Association of Realtors® (CAR) and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). Being a Realtor® member will allow me to access the purchase contracts and forms through ZipForms online. I also plan to join Women’s Council of Realtors® (WCR) because their mission is to support and help promote women into leadership positions. It is also a great organization to meet other agents across the U.S. and get referral business. I may also consider joining Young Professionals Network (YPN), which helps real estate agents under 30 years old to network with each other.
