Background
Roxane studied History at King’s College London where she graduated First Class, following which she attended the University of Oxford where she completed her Master’s in Modern British and European History.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE & APPROACH
Roxane has over ten years of teaching and tutoring experience covering a range of subjects, working with young children through to adult level.
She began her teaching career nearly 15 years ago, volunteering as a teachers’ assistant on outdoor trips, in SEN schools, and teaching English as a foreign language in countries such as Romania and Thailand, gaining her TEFL certificate in 2008.
Following university and a career in the film industry, she took up tutoring full-time as a residential tutor in Angola teaching the 10+, 11+, and 13+ curriculum to three children respectively. She remained with the family for five years as they moved from Angola to London, overseeing the children’s education and helping them to secure places at London’s top day schools and UK boarding schools including Eaton House the Manor, City of London School, Harrow, and Winchester.
She considers herself a hybrid tutor-coach, able to instruct students across a broad range of academic subjects and school application processes, as well as teaching them the skills that will prepare them for the long-term future and a successful independent academic career.
