خبرة ونهج التدريس
Samarth’s tutoring experience began at school, tutoring peers struggling with IB Chemistry and Biology, and he has continued tutoring after leaving school and starting university. He has worked with a wide range of pupils studying GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry and also taught various aspects of the medical application process, focusing in particular on medical interviews, with students going on to receive offers to study medicine at universities such as UCL and Bart’s.
Samarth’s teaching style is very flexible, with an appreciation of students as individuals and attention to the exercises and learning styles that work for them. He also likes to challenge pupils with lots of questions that push them to form their own understanding of the topics covered, while always providing guidance and knowledge when needed – a rigorous and demanding approach that prepares students to handle even the most difficult questions they might encounter.
WHY TUTORING
I’m passionate about tutoring partly as I’m someone who loves talking to and connecting with others and who is fascinated by science and the world of healthcare. However, what I enjoy most about tutoring is that it gives me the opportunity to reshape the expectations and aspirations of my students. I believe every individual has the potential to truly excel in their subjects regardless of where they started, and that all they need is someone to help them take ownership of their learning and find the approach that works for them. As a future doctor, I value every opportunity I have to help those around me, and I consider tutoring to be one of the most powerful ways that I can do just that.
My favourite books are Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Kafka on The Shore by Haruki Murakami, and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney
