BACKGROUND Oisin is a highly experienced Apple / Google certified tutor of French, Spanish & Theory of Knowledge (IBDP). His secondary school students as well as his Master’s Degree in International Education from Boston University (Grade A with distinction) qualify him to the highest standards.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE AND APPROACH
Oisin prepares an individual plan for each student, with clear aims and learning objectives to ensure they achieve everything they are capable of. His sessions have a clear cultural focus, incorporate exam taking methodology and use the latest EdTech Apps and technologies to enrich, enhance, facilitate and add that wow factor to learning. The EdTech game-based learning opportunities at the end of each session have also been very popular.
Oisin has successfully tutored students to achieve the highest grades at GCSE, A Level, MYP and DP SL & HL levels in French and Spanish as well as being an academic mentor and tutor for students gaining a place at Oxbridge universities. He is an advocate of the term “Educe”; to draw out the potential of each individual learner.
WHY TUTORING?
I thoroughly enjoy tutoring French and Spanish as I am passionate about languages and exploring different cultures around the World. I am proud to positively impact the learning journey of young ambitious people around the globe.
My favourite books include Quinze Contes by Maupassant, The Heart of Darkness by Conrad for the exquisite quality of languages used and most of the compelling novels by Gabriel García Márquez.
